These colour Lithophanes are backlit textured 3D printed pictures. They are made with a few coloured layers 3D printed using a combination of Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and White, mimicking CMYK colour printers, combined with a textured white layer to create darker contrasts. This combination is effective at reproducing a large range of the colour spectrum, as demonstrated in the images above, but may not fully recreate all colours accurately, due to limited amount of overlapping colour space.
There are two variants available, a smaller basic model and a larger premium model.
The smaller basic model measures 162x126mm (frame). The kit contains the following:
– Frame (3D printed)
– Colour Picture (144x108mm, 3D printed)
– (Optional) Diffuser Panel (3D printed)
– LED Light Panel
– Detachable USB C-to-A Cable
The larger premium model measures 218x165mm (frame). The kit contains the following:
– Frame (3D printed)
– Colour picture (208x156mm, 3D printed)
– LED Light Panel
– Built-in USB C-to-A cable with power switch and adjustable brightness
Pictures are quick and easy to swap out. We are able to print out more pictures at an additional cost on request. Pictures can be landscape or portrait, and need to be 4:3 or 3:4 aspect ratio to avoid clipping.
The small lithphane is available for sale at NZD$175 each.
The large lithophane is available for sale at NZD$250 each.
